Chef Matt O'Connor

Chef Matt was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland and spent his summers fishing and crabbing the chesapeake bay. His love of food was sparked at a very young age and pushed him to enroll into a high school culinary program. During highschool he worked his way through local restaurants including the 3 star farm to table french restaurant Tersiguels. This experience pushed Matt to attend the Culinary Institute of America where he obtained a Bachelors Degree.

After CIA matt held sous chef positions at the 5 star 5 diamond Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington DC and the 5 star 5 diamond Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore MD. These jobs propelled Matt into Executive Chef positions at a very young age for companies like Marriott, Guckenheimer, The Rockland Country Club and Old Oaks Country Club. Currently Matt lives in Brewster NY with his wife and two young boys. With experience as a demo chef and guest speaker at the 2013 Chef to Chef Conference Matt is great to teach cooking classes at your home or to cater your next dinner party.
